Homesh… and Leftist Hate Journalism from H-ll!

The Very Paradigm of Leftist Hate-Mongering…

Welcome to Settler Nation. Now, Obey!, by Bradley Burston Haaretz

Full Text;

Spring is here, and the radical settler movement has a message for you: We’re in charge. Resistance is futile. We know what’s good for you. Learn to take your medicine. Here’s the way it should be, and sooner or later, that’s the way it will be.

This week, we’re gathering at Homesh, they inform the People Israel. Homesh, one of the four Samaria [northern West Bank settlements] evacuated and destroyed during the 2005 disengagement that also saw the end of all settlement in the Gaza Strip.

The army announced it would keep the settlers from their stated aim of returning to Homesh. The defense minister vowed he would keep them from their stated aim of rebuilding the settlement.

The settlers knew better.

As protesters gathered to set out for Homesh this week, settler activist Boaz Haetzni said that a Monday mass settler hike to was not a fleeting demonstration, or a sleepover, but an explicit effort to return to Homesh for ever and ever.

Dismissing reports of a silent agreement with the IDF to allow the protesters to reach Homesh, Haetzni told a nationwide Army Radio news program that the army knew it was powerless in the face of the settlers.

“They know that it’s pointless, and that they would have to devote an infinite number of forces to this, and even then they wouldn’t manage to keep us from getting there, so why bother?”

Organizers have named the protest Homesh First, a play on peace plans that foresaw Israeli territorial concessions beginning with “Gaza first,” and then spreading to the West Bank.

In Haetzni’s view, this week’s demonstration is conceived as nothing less than a first step to erase and reverse the peace process and the disengagement from Gaza.

“The object is ‘l’shuv l’kal yeshuv’ [Return to Every Settlement]. There is a bumper sticker that says that, and we intend to make that a reality. One day, and apparently one day not far off, Israel will be forced to re-conquer Gaza and to return to Gush Katif.

“Every one in Tel Aviv must understand, that when we stay in Homesh, they don’t get missiles dropping on their heads, fired from Homesh. You can see Mount Hermon, Haifa, Tel Aviv and Ashdod all from Homesh.

“The view is astounding, but it’s also scary when you see it’s potential to rule over all of Israel, therefore, it’s in the interest of every Tel Avivian that we succeed here today.”

In other words, the settlers will do what the army should be doing. The settlers will save us. The settlers will block compromise for peace with their very bodies. With their very children. There will never be compromise, G-d willing. We will make sure that the Palestinians get none of what they are seeking. We will make sure that we dictate what everyone gets and what everyone is denied.

“We are prepared to go through this another 10 times, and, if need be, another 100 times, so that we’ll be able to go home,” another organizer said in remarks broadcast early on Monday.

“Even if they take us down, even for some reason the government, for political reasons of its own, takes a decision that it will not allow us to come home to northern Samaria, then we will go up again, and if they take us down, we will go up again and again and again.”

Former Homesh resident Menora Hazani was quoted as saying Monday that the settlers were guided by a higher law, Jewish law, which took precedence over government decisions.

Asked if the demonstrators were preparing for a violent confrontation such as the Amona evacuation, a bloody free-for-all in which settlers rained angle iron, paint and stones on security forces, who beat many of them severely, Haetzni was ready with an answer:

“We are prepared, in the sense that we have brought the heads so that it will be possible to shatter them.”

According to Haetzni, despite the evacuation of Amona and the razing of its structures, the incident was a success for the settlement movement. “The public relations result was such that the government was deterred from carrying out these pogrom plays in the future.

We know what we’re doing, the settlers are telling us.

We know what the people do not. We know what the government chooses to ignore. We know what the army is ordered not to take care of.

We will make sure that we dictate to all of the People Israel. Because we know.

Spring is here, the rains are over and gone, and we know what should happen. We know what will happen. We know you, People of Israel. We know your weakness. We know our strength. We know that we will win.

We know better.
