PA Official: Immigration of 40 Paves Way For 18,000

Following Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s concession, allowing 40 decedents of Arabs who left Israel in 1948 to emigrate to Judea and Samaria, Palestinian Authority officials say they are already working on using the precedent to bring about the immigration of 18,000 Arabs in Iraq to Judea and Samaria.
PA Minister of Information Riyad al-Malki told the PA-controlled Maan News Agency that the return of the 40 paves the way for the return of “all the Palestinian refugees.”
Al-Malki said he contacted Knesset Members and officials in the Olmert regime, but that “so far, the Israelis have agreed to let in just a small group of refugees.” He promises to continue to work toward allowing tens of thousands more to join them.
