Haunted: By Today’s Parallels With the Shoa Era

.
Commentary;

This author completely concurs with Batya of Shilo Musing’s “Haunting” post, except for one thing.

I think that this is what should have written near the bottom;

… and the Arabs, with the full support of the entire world, including the United States, the United Nations, the world’s media and the Israeli Left, want the entirety of what is Israel — from Judea, Samaria (Biblical Heartland) to Tel Aviv, Netanya, to Haifa, to the Jordan Valley, to the Golan, to the Negev — judenrein as well as most of the Middle-East. read more

Parsha Bechukotai 5768: The Jew’s Connection With Eretz Yisrael

.

by Moshe Burt

Our Parsha Bechukotai is but another in the series of Parshiyot usually paired with the one it preceeds, in this case Parsha Behar, as a doubleheader.

Therefore, yet another opportunity exists to emphasize, in another way, the connection between the Jew and Eretz Yisrael.

When we parallel the laws of Shabbos: six days you shall work and you shall rest, refrain from all manner of avodah on the seventh day… to keep it Holy, just as in emulation of Hashem’s creation of the universe; with the laws of Shemittoh: ‘I will command My blessing during the sixth year and it will provide produce for three years’ we see beyond the Hatam Sofer’s explanation that; read more

How Pro-Israel is Bush? Does it Matter?

.

Commentary;

Just how Pro-Israel is president Bush? The picture above shows president Bush doing a little jig, a little softshoe during his two day stay in Israel.

While the right and religious MKs may view president Bush’s speech as garnering higher marks than Olmert’s, and while the Shas party may proclaim Bush as being more Pro-Israel than Olmert and many will read Bush’s language such as to wonder why Olmert can’t be as forthright and unequivocal, the President’s parting comments to Israelis reveal diabolical contradiction; read more

Barak to Ashkelon Residents: Rockets, Not for Long

Barak to Ashkelon; “Any day now…”

Commentary;

More familiar hot air refrains, delaying tactics to avoid taking serious action. Been there, done that! We’ve heard it all before; countless times before. Barak’s comments to the residents of Ashkelon can be best summed up by the old American TV mortgage loan commercial which opens with an aged mortgage officer answering phone calls from anxious applicants with a no sense shared urgency response; “Any day now, any day now.” read more

Islamic Terror Grad Hits Ashkelon Mall After Bush Arrival

.

Commentary;

Hours after President Bush arrived in Israel, a Grad Missile slamed into Chutzot Mall in Ashkelon injuring 15, including a Mother and Daughter and a Doctor and assistant who were seriously injured. And while some speak about Bush’s trip here as modern-day Megillat Esther replay and a Nationalist politician assails Israel’s avoidance of all-out effort to eliminate terror and terror weapon smuggling in Gaza as as avoiding war to please gentiles, it seems that the reality of the matter is that the Bush visit is nothing but a smokescreen to deflect attention from the Olmert, Livni, Barak, Ramon regime’s deliberate, conscious, dogged efforts to eradicate all connection and consciousness between Israel and Israelis, and all Jewish law, tradition, spirituality, history and The Land of Israel. read more
