Wednesday War News Wrap-Up: Over 60 Rockets Hit Israel While Cast Lead Continues, Barak Extends ‘Special Situation’ Range Now at 40 KM, Regime Sends Former Gush Katif Residents in Nitzan Sewer Pipe “Shelters”

Another regime slap-down of former Gush Katif residents: Concrete Sewer Pipe Shelters??

Commentary;

There are those on the Right who hold that this Gaza ‘Cast Lead’ operation may just be all about politics and political edge merely 41 days before national elections.

And there are others on the Right who correctly assert that “those who forced Israel out of Gaza do not have the moral right to send our soldiers back there” and that “Israeli society must free itself of their despotic grip.”

But for now, we are stuck with the Regime we have and it would have been unconscionable to turn the other cheek yet again and not act against the terrorist bombardment.

Even given that Operation ‘Cast Lead’ may well have been put into action out of political ulterior motivations and may well be missing Divine Merit through the lack of making peace with, lack of sincere contrition to and lack of sincere begging, beseeching forgiveness from the former Gush Katif residents for the heinous wrong of expulsion of fellow Jews — still and all military credibility in the face of an avowed enemy compelled a forceful action rather than bombing empty fields.

But when we speak of a Regime, a military lacking Divine Merit, one need look no further than the continuous, callous, systematic slapping-down of the former Gush Katif residents, after evicting them, constructing for them temporary homes of mere plaster which can’t even withstand torrential rain, let alone a Kassam or Grad missile. This regime, premeditatedly, knowing full well that they were putting Jews in positions of being “sitting ducks” in the certain event of terror rocket bombardments did so anyway and deducted rent from their compensation monies (from those that even received their compensation). And now, the Olmert, Bark, Livni Troika brazenly denies the the former Gush Katif residents appropriate shelter and protection against terror rockets, leaving them with concrete sewer pipes which, like the plaster dry-wall caravans, cannot withstand a direct hit. What we witness from this corrupt, vile regime is anything but the “remorse of the brothers for what they did to Yosef.”

A regime lacking Divine Merit, indeed! MB
